    Italian Desirables....

Going to Italy in a few weeks... Going to try and score a few little things like Italian turn signals for the 2002.

Is there anything on the e30 that is hard to come by, highly desirable, or that I should otherwise just buy when I'm over there? I'm talking small things like roundels, shift knobs, etc. things that are small and easy to get in the country (ex. I'm not looking for someone to tell me to pickup a few EVO s14 cranks).

    Thanks!!!

Yes there is an Italian check panel. Basically anything that has written word on it will be Italian, thus different and semi-desirable. The OBC, the check panel, thats really all I can think of.

They are euro so you'll find all the basics that a US car doesn't have that a euro does:

          Euro trim
          Euro bumpers

          etc...
          Reminiscing...

2002 turn signals are different meaning the fronts are amber and the back half is clear.

            They look like this: http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/...+turn+signals/

They go for BIG MONEY and **IF** I can get them over there I'll buy as many sets as I can and hope it'll pay for my trip. Chances are slim to none that I'll be able to find them though.

2002 are not that common in Italy. I have been to Venice and Rome and in between a few times in the last ten years. They just really don't exist that much and Blunt seems to have the market on them.

Well it's no big deal. It looks like I won't be able to get any unless I get really lucky...

I was hoping there was something small, light and similar that I could pickup for the e30. Something I could throw in my suitcase and bring back and not have customs wonder exactly why I have 4 steering wheels & 7 cranks shoved in a body bag :-)

I don't know how easy it is to come by roundels for the hood and trunk but it seems like every E30 that I see has a set that is worn out.

They are like $12 a piece from a variety of sources.

Have fun in Italy and enjoy the laid back lifestyle.

We are 16 strong and renting a villa in Tuscany for 12 days. Spending a night each in Rome & Venice. I've arranged a tour of Fiat & Ferrari and for a test drive of the 1-series BMW. I've never been to Europe before so screw the Vatican & statue of David - I'm going for car parts!
