Low Engine Oil Pressure on dash

Most all of the lights come on when you put the key to the on position. The oil pressure, brake lining and parking brake do not.

Is this normal. I wanna confirm that the light works :) Where is the oil pressure switch and how do I test it?

It should come on. The oil pressure sender is on the bottom of the block on the front passenger side of the motor.

all three of those should come on with the car off/key on.

of course, the parking brake one will only come on if it's set.

I will test the sender. Then check the bulb. Not driving till I confirm :)

Park Brake does check itself when the key is first on. The only one that doesn't is the Brake Lining one- that one does its self test only when the starter is engaged.

When I worked at a Porsche shop we had a guy who always bitched about something when he got his car back. So one day he comes to me asking what I did to his car. "when I turn the key on all the dash lights turn on, it didn't do that before. I think you fucked something up with my electrical system." I said I would be more worried if the light didn't come on if I were him. He stared back confused and angry. "Its called a bulb check sir thats how you know your dash lights still work, your supposed to check whenever you start the car. Porsche designed it that way for a reason."
              Shut him up real fast.
