    Need engine ID help

So, the motor was swapped on my 90 some time ago. It just occured to me that the reason im probably not passing emissions is because the ecu doesnt match. Where can i find the vin on my block so i know wtf it is?

That post was vague and confusing - so the vin is near the oul pump drive? Would i look at that from under the car?

Anybody? It looks like i have an E exhaust, too. Only one tip off the muffler. Where are the castings on the head even? I need to make sure i have the right stuff.

No, you look from the top of the car. It's on the intake side of the engine, towards the front of the car, IIRC. It is a black label, and most of the time there's a whole bunch of grime covering it up.

I'll get in there with some carb cleaner and try to find it today.
