This is the same price at the stores just minus the tax. Will the shop give you a further discount? My local shop gives me the tax free and additional 15% to make up for the loss on the dollar value.

Well there is no tax applicable here provided you are out of the state of NC. Also I dont think it is possible to lower the price any further, but I will look into it. These tailights unless imported directly from Germany come through only one importer which has the same pricing for everyone. They have recently increased their prices as a result of the exchange rate. If your shop takes an additional 15% off and charges you no tax, then they are either making next to nothing or losing money, or potentially not paying the tax to the state which is illegal.

Prices on ellipsoids are coming.

*Edit* Ok I am looking into an alternative option for getting these here and the price would be potentially cheaper if it works out.

Put me down for a set of Smoked Euro Ellipsoids. FOR SURE. Do they come with all the wiring? I've heard that the kits from Hella don't include all the wiring needed?


I might be interested in a set of early style smoked tail lights as well.

Most likely the kits wont come with two things:

1: The weather proof cap that covers the wiring on the back of the high beams
2: The connector for the wiring to the ground post on the high beam

It baffles me and many other people that this is the case but regardless your information is correct. This is how my set came and this issue was easy enough to fix. I called up a guy locally that I knew sold a lot of Hella products and he told me that he happened to have a box full of the rubber caps that cover the back of the high beam made by Hella. Apparently he was the Bermuda Triangle for these things. He informed me that he had no use for them and just gave me two. This was several years ago, but I am willing to bet that he still has them. I plan to give him a call and assuming I can get my hands on said covers, I will throw them in with each order. In the event that I cant get them it really wouldnt be a big deal to figure out some other way to cover up the headlight, or even leaving it exposed wouldnt be the end of the world, it just wouldnt be advised.

As far as the wiring goes for the groud post on the high beam, I just went to Radioshack and found the apprporaite sized diamter spade connector and crimped it onto the headlight to give me something to run a wire to. If this problem does not make sense now, you will understand once you begin wiring them. Its really not a very big problem at all and the wiring is very straightforward.

I dont know of anyone that advertises a lower price than that on the headlights, and certainly not the tailights. Also this was never meant to be a group buy on the headlights, solely the tailights, the headlights are just being offered because people could not find anyone oferring them for sale. If you can show advertised proof of a better price from a reputable seller then we can possibly work something out. Turner sells the lights for over 500. NIkis-Place has proven to be unreliable. But this is obiously up to your discretion. Thanks for the support either way!!

I understand, I wouldnt get them from a distributer. I simply have a friend in Germany who can hook me up at very good price. I misunderstood the group buy, sorry about that. Either way, I'm sure I'll be purchasing products from you in the future.
