Attn Chattanooga & Atlanta Members - Need Help Moving a Car

I won an E36 parts car on Ebay that I need to pickup sometime this weekend and because of the unusually dry weather my step dad cannot help me tow the car because he's on 24/7 fire call in Middle TN. So unless it rains between now and this weekend (forecast says no) I need help getting a car from Braselton, GA (just east of Atlanta) to Knoxville.

Anyone on here that can help me out or have a friend that could please let me know.

What kind of help are you needing exactly? IE: Do you need a trailer, a truck, what?

Need someone with a trailer and a truck I guess. Anyone who has the ability to get the car from Braselton, GA to Knoxville, TN.

The only other friend that can help me hauls cars for a living. He was going to charge $225 but is in California and will not be back in time to help me pick it up this weekend.

Even someone from Knoxville I can ride along with to pick it up and I'll pay for food, gas and mileage.

If it was just an issue where you needed someone to help you load it, I could have volunteered. But I don't have access to a trailer nor the time to do a Knoxville round trip this weekend.

So if you get a ride down you can drive the parts car back on your own? If so, I might be able to go Saturday morning.

The car is not driveable because the ignition was ripped out by an attempted break in.

It would have to be towed from there to Knoxville. I could meet someone in Chattanooga and ride to Braselton with them and once we get back to Chattanooga follow me back to Knoxville.

Unless we get some rain soon I might be out of options this week.

Can you get it to someone's place local in Atlanta and then make arrangements later to tow to Knoxville?

Why don't you give you're step dad your car and use his truck? That way someone can meet you in Braselton and help you load it...

Because he's fanatical about his truck and will not let anyone drive it especially with the trailer hooked up.

Rent a full size pickup truck from Enterprise and then go to Uhaul and get a tow dolly.. that way the truck will cost you about $50 a day w/unlimited milage.. the tow dolly will run you about $20 a day. Just be sure that you don't tell enterprise that you are going to be towing with the truck and more importantly don't tell U-Haul that you have a rented pickup.

That's not a bad idea.. what would happen if one either found out though?

It looks like it's supposed to rain today and possibly some showers tonight so I'm hoping it will be enough to lift the Mid/East TN area leave fire restriction on my step dad.

Even if I did I'm not sure that it would make the trip.. Take a look for yourself.
