In order to properly align my E30...

I went to Monroe muffler and brake today and asked for an alignment on my 87 325e. They said after taking it for a drive that they can't align it because he "thinks" there is a drivetrain shaking, which I don't feel at all!

Another reason he can't align it is because he needs weight in the driver seat, passenger seat, and the trunk. What is he talking about?

Corner weighting. There are specs on weights to be put in the car for proper alignment. Either call around and find a shop who can do it, or ask this guy if he can since he seems to be a stand up guy and actually read the manual.

If he has to adjust anything besides toe, you will be replacing parts.

Hahaha, ok, i'll probably go somewhere else because if i tell him to do it anyway, he'll probably say, "I'll do it, but it's not going to be perfect". I feel that he'd use that as an excuse when I take it for a drive and it's no better than it was before, and i'm out $80.

Setting toe should never be more than $40 anyway.

Camel toe costs waaay more than that up here, Luke.

well, they say that in order to align the front wheels, it has to be in reference to the whole car, so they need to put the sensors on all 4 wheels. U and I both know that there is no rear adjustment.
