Here is some more info...

I have had all the hoses replaced... most recently the anti freeze, and washer fluid... and the oil, gas, and trans within the last 18 months... ALL parts from BMW only. the AC doesnt work :(... (well it works, but once it gets really hot outside, it sends cool air... not cold air... my mechanic says its just old... and would need to be replaced) the heat works awesome! all the power locks, windows sunroof , etc work perfectly... i have recently put in a new drivers window switch... BMW parts only (of course) i have all the paperwork from all the work/service etc for the past 8-9 years. I have owned the car for 5 years, and bought it from my friend , she had it in san fran prior to that ... the body is in great shape. It has been in two minor accidents... only damage to the rear bumper, which has been replaced 2 times... the entire exhaust sytem was replaced about 2 yrs ago... and the timing belt has been replaced less that 2 years ago as well. i have taken very good care of this car... i love it very much, and it shows... i have to get rid of it because my husband cant drive it... and we are getting ready to start a family and just got a 4 door car....



ALSO here are a bunch of questions with answers that have been asked... just want to give you as much info as i can :)

I realize the car is 14 yrs. old , so I would expect some normal wear and tear.

Has the car ever been painted?

the whole car has never been painted... but because i have had the bumper replaced (twice) the rear end, side and back panals have been repainted twice...

What is the condition of the interior?

the interior is in GREAT condition... some wear and tear - but not 14 yrs worth... as i have said i have taken excellent car of this car... and it shows

Has there been any work done to the front suspension, (ball joints/struts/tie rods)?

i have had some work done... presently having the struts replaced... 2 yeard old timing belt... and work done to the chassis - i have all the paper work


When was the last time the brakes and tires were replaced?

i have gotten 2 new tires every october for the past 3+ yrs... and i have replaced 2 of the rims over the last 2 years - i have regular brake service - the last set of pads about 8 months ago (and always BMW parts)

What doesn't work or needs repair?

the ac doesnt work when it gets really hot... its just old... if it were 72 degrees outside it works... but when you really need it... it doesnt blow ice cold air...

there are 2 license plate lights... one went out and the screws are too tight for me to get off, i tried...

Are there any defects that I should be aware of?

nothing that i havent mentioned, which i wouldnt really classify as a defect


Does the engine use or leak oil?

neither. i have had the hoses replaced, and bought a new oil cap last year... nothing leaks.... i have done a lot of maintenance on all the fluid to keep ther car running well, although i just replaced the hoses to the wind sheild wiper fluid, and i think there is still a little leak, i am convinced there is a small leak in the jug.... but my mechanic says he couldnt find it.

I imagine I can grab this for $3000, unless someone else comes and offers more, but if I am lucky I should be able to get it for less. Seems to be a decent car for the money. And it has seen two lady drivers and that is it. So hopefully neither were aggressive!

Don't worry I will. I think I am going to check it out tomorrow. Right now it is getting new rear wheel bearings. Either she is a very abusive driver, or an overly eager maintence chic! Hopefully the latter. ;)

Ok there are some pics.

Car is very very good overall. The few problems are, that scratch above rear fender. Not to bad, probably an easy touch up. And the other thing is the engine was kinda dirty, but I tihnk most of it was the Cosmoline.

The shifting was stil precise, not sloppy at all. Clutch was good. It pulleed through first 3 gears well. Interior was very nice, minus a few marks that could be washed out. Had a Sony CD player, not sure of model yet, but not to shabby. Good tread on the Goodyears. Power sunroof worked awesome. Cruise control, knee thing under sterring wheel there, 1 minor crack in dash, water in trunk from leaky tail light gasket (no rust!). Oh yeah, not any rust I could find anywhere!

Basically for $2500 this is an awesome deal. It is getting a new rear wheel bearing and had new front struts. Otherwise it is real good. I think I will go for it.

Unless the mechanic finds something when I have him inspect it, it is going to be mine in a ffew weekends!

Yeah, it needs a good cleaning inside, and the engine bay. Other than that fix up that paint and it will be rockin'!

Need to find me a mechanic to check it all over. Time for the search! ;)

have jordan clean it for you. lol, his brothers engine bay looks like it was brand new. its really unbelievable that he did that in one day, along with cleaning out the inside, and cleaning the outside.

Me too!

And I called my uncle. He will buy the car back I bought from him for the $600 paid for it. I think that is the most I will get anyone to pay for it. An eta with over 200k miles, red with black hood and driver fender! It does have a 2.93 LSD, and a clean interior. But still, $600 for it is awesome on my end. :D

Just need to get some more money together and I can buy that bitch!
