Mono-Wiper?

The Storm one can be found on UK eBay. Should come up easily, obviously theres the premium price, their E30 kit is the most expensive of theirs, go figure.
Their site is crap, they're very responsive on eBay, I got a quick response about shipping to the US. I have this for way down the road though, not anytime soon...Leave a comment:

Sounds awesome, assuming it would be possible to get the bastard back in whole. I know he built one for his Mk2, and it looked awesome.
I have my spare setup too, but it's in about a thousand pieces. Kind of the only way I could get the MF'er out, and also why it's not back in. The reason my perfectly fine stock system got its marching orders was because I picked up a "slightly used" bonrath kit on here, and when I got it in, I noticed the splines on the arm mounting spindle were worn away. Lucky me. So I sent it back(guy was cool about it), installed some trim plugs, and haven't had wipers since last summer. If anyone was wondering, rain-x is better than wipers in every situation except snow.
If you are going to do this, count me in and let me know the details, what I owe ya, etc! Thanks again.Leave a comment:

Erik,
I have a couple of spare armature assemblies and was thinking of having Kevin at DTR modify one of them for me per Trent's method. Seems pretty straightforward. And as Trent metnioed, you can park it off to the side or in the middle - wherever you want it.Leave a comment:

Awesome! Thanks everyone for the responses. I found the one on AKG, and I'm trying to see what I can get through Abrahams/Schmiedmann, but I love the idea of the Storm wiper with the integral washer fluid. Does anyone have a link to Storm? I can't seem to find their site.Leave a comment:

I've always liked monowipers. I'm not sure if I could ever put one on my car though.. maybe when I run out of other things to do :p
where is that storm wiper sold? my hood doesn't have any washer jets on it. that would be pretty nice.Leave a comment:

do any of the mono wiper kits self center down the middle of the windshield, or is it always off to the side?Leave a comment:

There are also companies accross the pond that make them for E30's, including a company called Storm, and another I can't think of. Quality stuff, but obviously pricier. Abraham Motorsport had Bonrath wipers available for a time too, hit them up.
Also, Trent did a DIY setup and he said its very good. You have to shave a piece (12mm) off the wiper linkage. Search for it.
The Storm wiper also has an upgrade to put the washer fluid through a small tube that runs down the wiper, very cool stuff, I plan to get this eventually ($230 shipped though)...Leave a comment:

Mono-Wiper?
Yes. It has been awhile since I've posted, for some reason at my last job they banned me from r3v. New job could give a f*ck so here I am. E30's back on the road for the season, albeit a little haggard, and I'm about to start some stockpiling.
One thing I need is a Mono Wiper setup. Bonrath and JOM both made these, and I'm 99% sure bonrath doesn't exist anymore. I had a source who could get me a JOM, but the company he works for no longer is in business.
So yeah, new or used... someone help point me in the right direction. I have become quite accustomed to not having any wipers at all on the car, but I need to just man up and take care of this.
Thanks in advance, people.Tags: None
