BMW Ultimate Drive- test drive for Susan Komen Breast Cancer Cure

You’re invited to join BMW in the drive to help find a cure for breast cancer. Since its inception in 1997, the BMW Ultimate Drive supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure has turned millions of test-drive miles into a powerful tool in the fight against breast cancer. Now celebrating its eleventh year, the BMW Ultimate Drive continues to inspire thousands to get behind the wheel of a new BMW to make a difference.

Taking part in the BMW Ultimate Drive is free, easy, and very rewarding. As a participant, you’ll find plenty of BMW models to test drive, such as the thrilling 3 Series Coupe, the sporty X3 SAV® and this year's Signature Vehicle, the dynamic X5 SAV. You can even bring a friend along for the ride. It's a fun and memorable experience, and every mile you drive adds another dollar in BMW donations. To date, more than 280,000 dedicated drivers have helped this annual event raise over $10 million for the cause. So get behind the wheel, and help us drive toward a cure.

Experience great driving—with a greater purpose.

Josh did it last year. He got lucky and was drawn to drive from Bend to Eugene. Pretty sweet.

          Here is the thread:

My dad has done this a few times, has loved it every time! AFAIK a rep does not ride with you. atleast here in wichita they have a set route where you take the cars, and I think they have a time frame and/or watch the odometers, but I doubt if you made a little side trip they wouldn't notice...

aghh! you got my hopes up. i thought it was coming earlier this year or something. not till september again for me. ive done it the last two years and its awesome. no one rides with you, route is preplanned. last year some busters ruined it for people by taking off in cars for an hour at a time till they were kicked out. i guess some people dont respect the experience as much as others do.....

The event is underway on the east coast. It's too bad those of us on the west coast have to wait so long. I'm hoping it will be worth the wait.

Reps don't ride with you. They give you a map of where they'd like you to drive, but I would just go wherever. They never checked the mileage. FWIW, a 3.0 X3 6spd launches hard off the line with a limiter-bouncing clutch dump.;)

I've done this twice so far, although the route was pretty short, I put in about 2 hours worth of driving on various different cars lol

i did it when i worked at chapman bmw. no rep, took an extra 10 min side trip. it went through papago park way in the finish. 90mph in a 35mph past the sales manager "was that you driving that wagon that passed me on a test drive with a customer?" " no, i was back in parts taking inventory."

                            No rep. :)
In my younger years I have seen people nearly total these cars on the road course... It is DEFINITELY a good time!
