I skimmed the first chapter and read some online reviews. My conclusion:
This is book by the left for the left that rips on big business and I am not going to read that shit. All the praise quotes come from ultra liberal sources like the NY Times. One quote even referred to Upton Sinclair (a communist)!

What's funny is I am in the middle of reading E-Myth which discusses how business franchises (spawned by McDonalds) have revolutionized the business world for the better. In E-myth (a book for business minded successful people) Ray Kroc is a hero. In Fast Food Nation, he will be painted as a villain.
Don't get me wrong, I hate fast food with a passion, but to single out the quality lapses of a few fast food chains and apply those acquisitions to all major business is ridiculous.
