I use this stuff all the time when cleaning my pool. I put it undiluted into a bucket and grab a brush. It doesn't burn quite as fast as you say. I've always done it in a bathing suit and w/o gloves. Ive been burned a little, but can easily wash it off in the pool water. The fumes are a bitch though.

I also dont think hydrochloric acid is not as bad as your making it out to be, your not going to need a respirator. I had a technology class back in high school where I did some etching on circuit boards and all we had to do to handly the "etching solution" was simply wear rubber gloves, no vent hoods, no respirators.

He speaks the truth. When I had a pool, i used straight baking soda as a base the balance the PH.

I bet that you used ferric chloride, a rust colored solution, for your technology class. It is fairly benign in comparison to HCl.

Yea it is. It's what is sold normally as a echant to "hobbiest" and compaines that do small runs...It's overpriced, and takes 15-20 mins to work.

Why do I need such a strong acid? Cause eating away at 0.1mm of copper quicly takes time. I could use orange juice...but that would take about a year.

I have a background in engineering. I just don't have my old buyer to call for things...

          what are you making?
A useful and cool e30 mod...requires 17 componets, a printed circuit board, and alot of labor. I'll post up when they are ready...

          ....
