There's always more to learn - maybe you're just boring yourself as a driver.
Very well said, I feel the same about my car.

Monday was the first time I drove my car more than a couple of blocks in 7 months, when I took it down to the exhaust shop. I had an ear-to-ear grin for the whole drive, and I was in a good mood the rest of the day.

Ya, the e30 is always fun to drive, everyonce in a while a nice freeway onramp pull over this side of the mountains at college, and then some awesome windy roads back closer to home. Those are always fun. If you find yourself bored, you may want too look at other options besides spending money to aleave the boredom and look at how your driving the car and such as other ways to get rid of the boredum w/o money spent.
When I am bored w/ the e30, I've got a pickup chillin in the garage which is constantly under construction in the garage w/ new mods or at a local classic car show or dragstrip.

Like others said, drive a shitbox around your usual "hot spots" (corners/offramps/etc), and your e30 excitement will be renewed. Driving my buddies 7th gen civic around town made me realise how nice E30's are in all respect (his is 2001, transmission is falling apart, bushings are shot, but has good coilovers and RT-615's all around).

        Keep it slideways!!

Just don't ever drive an Alfa Romeo Milano V6... You will appreciate how well built the BMW is, but the Alfa is so much more involving to drive, and way more exciting. I still regret selling mine...

Install a SSK, find a nice scenic byway and go for a drive. :)

Why would you need to modify the car to take it to autox/track? Go bone stock on your street tires, then when people ask what's done to that thing, just smile. Honestly, the e30s are the only cars I haven't grown bored of in 6months or less.

this thread hits home for me big time...I had a e36 cab fall in my lap in the fall and i have put about 300 miles on the e30 since last October. Im totally bored with it. It sits for weeks on end while I rack up miles on the e36. Once in a while, ill take it out to stretch her legs, and i remember the 6 years of bliss i had while she was my only mode of transport, but its not the same anymore. I also have a 2003 2500 Chevy Express Cargo van and a Wrangler 4.0, so the e30 gets almost no love. 6 years ago, it was a garage queen, now its my winter beater...:( Plus im going to look at a clean 1968 1600 next week as a sunday cruiser, so the e30 is going to move even farther down the list...

Yeah, I'm a victim of automotive ADD as well.

It's expensive and not worth it. Tinker, do small things that make a big difference, and enjoy what you have. The grass will always be greener.

I love driving my car every time I get behind the wheel.

I'm really looking forward to having the S50 car on the road too!

Dude, take a drive to Julien on a nice day. Take Wildcat Canyon Road, go on a tuesday mid-morning...have a slice of pie and a cup of coffee in some nice cafe.

Then, think of all the money you saved on therapy, since you just had some of the best!

                            nitrous....jk

some days it just sucks...lately ive been wanting to go to the track, but $$ issues prevent me.

but seriously...i need a place to cruise at my own speed, like a very calm canyon....like angeles crest with no cops to pull my ass over......like all those commercials of curvy roads..........somewhere i can just go to think while i drive
