So is it a custom mani then? I only understand the FI side of the m20.

I had one in an E21 i had a couple years ago!
E21 320 was available in 2 forms,4 pot carb or 6 pot carb.
Bit gutless from what i remember but think they originally used Pierburg carbs which are reputed to be shit.
Thats all i know sorry.

They had FI at that time also. US spec 320 had FI as did the 323i at that time. Some M20 for the stoneage had carbs. There is a triple sidedraft set up for M20 on ebay.de from time to time.Comment

Whats the big deal ?
Its just an older E21 320/6 ans yes they had a carbed M20 as stock .
Biggest difference is they use a conventional mechanical distributor .
I actually have a complete E21 323i injected engine in storage ...it uses the same distributor set-up .Comment

My old 320/6, had I kept it I would have most likely gone fuel injection.
