    I guess MVR's won't fit

    Fuck Fuck Fuck

I bought two 17x8.5 MVR wheels cheap off ebay hoping they would fit my car. I was pretty cofident the rims would fit in the rear and hold a 245 tire, but I was unsure how they would fit upfront.

I was only able to bolt the rim to the hubs tonight (I'm having the tire guy at work throw a tire on one rim and then bolt it up to the front and rear to see how it fits) but from the looks of it, I'm definetly gonna need to have my fenders pulled.

Actually, from the stance of the rims, it looked as if the rim would tuck in just in front of the fender up front, but actually contact the fender in the rear.

What I don't understand is many 5 lug swap guys have said they easily fit 17x8.5 rims in the rear with a 245 tire and similar offset. I guess every car is different.

If shit doesn't work out tomorrow I'll probably just cop some 225/40/17 tires all the way around and run on these damn LTW's until I decide to pull the fenders for these MVR's to fit.

Eventually I will find a way for them to go on. They look sicker then a dirty whore when mounted.

Your suspension different than the other guys that ran 245's on 8.5" rims?
My mountains are better than yours.

Actually, both guys were running M roady shit. It might be my shallow rear fenders.

What a pain in the ass!
Those LTW wheels aren't very nice.

17x8.5 MVR will look so freaking good!

this is totally from memory, but isn't the M roadster/coupe stuff 10mm wider than the E30 M3 stuff.

with that and not having wider M3 fenders, it seams like there might not be very much fitment for low offset wheels
