Need An Answer Asap!!!

Im about to order my suspension and they need to know if my front strut diameter axle is 51 or 45 mm. My car is a 1990 325is. If you need anymore info let me know. Sorry Im totally new to the e30 scene.

it should be the bigger one, unless you are talking about the spindle diamiter

I think he is talking about the strut tube diameter, for the fronts. I guess there is a difference in size due to model and year and stuff. I have to be 100% thought because I would hate to have my shit in pieces and not have it work and have to deal with a return and stuff. :(

He is talking about strut diameter. '84/'85 e30s had 45mm strut tubes. Possibly all 318's too but not sure on that one. All others had the 51mm struts.

Easy solution- Why not just get a tape measurer or a piece of string and go out to the car and measure it? That would eliminate all doubts.

Thanks for the heads up I went ahead and measured it and its 51mm I should be getting my kw 60/40 kit the middle of next week :) WEEEEEEEEEE
