Pathfinder is out, in with the new

Ok so for the fifth time my pathy is having trouble starting due to electrical issues. Now Im good and tired of fixing this so the first order of business this summer is to get myself a new car. Im thinking a 325es is going to be right up my alley. An e you say? Well money is defiantely tight and Im looking for a car in great condition, I feel that by getting an e, and using it as a reliable car for a year while I gather the parts for a stroker (which I would do either way) seems like a better choice. Right now Im looking for something I can depend on for about a year or so before the motor would go in. I want a car thats in great condition and good on gas, so the 325e seems like a good fit. Ill throw a chip in it and have fun for now. How much should I expect to pay for one of these babies? Im looking to spend as little as possible. Think I could swing one with decent miles for about 2k?

Get a super-eta that way you get the newer front valence and bigger taillights. Price is hard to estimate; I think it really depends on region and availability. If you look for long enough you find something in your price range.

i vote for a 325es 1988....that way you have a made to order stroker and everything that the IS has. If i get a non-m e30 other than what i have now i'd probably get an 88 es. and do a bumper swap.

He wouldn't find an actual es, all Super Eta's during 88 were just labeled as 325's - however, for the most part, you are correct. ;)

I'd also reccommend to keep your eye out for a post 88 bodystyle - a Super Eta would be ideal for the stroker you want to do.
