    Boston Guys

Hey I was in boston for the marathon and to check out BU. Sweet city, I would deffinately consider going to school there. :D
Monday was NUTS when the red sox game was let out and everyone was there for the marathon. I just happened to be on the T at the time. Wow, I never want to see so many people ever again.
I got to cruise around in a electric blue Yukon with 26" dubs. Ive never had so many looks in my life before.
Just wanted to let ya know.

    I bombed Korea every night.

Cool welcome to the Big Small city. It's a great town, love it. Hate the Evil empire and resist NY. But the damn Bruins gave away the series to Montreal.

That's where my college is... and I would NEVER try to defend it as cool. It's wicked gay. See, I said "wicked." So I must know what I'm talking about then. ;)
I grew up in, and am currently posting from, Marshfield MA - about 30 minutes south of Boston and right on the water.
My point is, that as much fun as Boston is, you could quickly run out of things to do. I have a ton of friends that go to college in Boston and with the exception of those who go to Emmanuel College on the Fenway, the novelty of being in a city wears off quickly... especially if you're still under 21. From my own experience, Providence is just as fun if not more than Boston, and it doesn't have nearly as much touristy bullshit. NYC, from what I hear, would be a much more "fun" place to go to school. The only advantage of Boston is the vast number of good schools and the fact that our baseball team doesn't suck donkey balls.

Hell no there are plenty of things to do if your under 21 in Bo-town. Aquarium, Bunker Hill, Constitution, the list goes on and on. People travel for miles to come to the Big little city.

Think about the actual size it's small but it has what 33 colleges in it. A duck tour, the Charles River regatta. Man how could you get bored. Sit on the steps of Faniuel Hall and watch people.

I could only hope my wife get an assignment back to Hanscom AFB, in Bedford. I used to ride my bicycle into Boston for lunch twice a week. I miss it, live in Western Mass for awhile then talk to me.

Greg - I get your point, I guess there is a lot to do. But do you really think a bunch of 18-20 years olds away from home the first time in their lives would really do all that in their spare time?
For the most part, college kids are just concerned with partying. And as much fun as sitting around dorms and frat/sorority houses drinking is, even those who are underage appreciate going to a bar to have a drink once in a while. And Boston bars are much stricter about fake IDs than say... Providence! where the bars are all run by the mob. You could hand the bouncer a Ken Griffey Jr. baseball card as ID and still get in.
