    car mods in progress...

my little 325is project car is starting to come together
and i had to share my excitement with someone...

bought this super clean black/black 90 model back in
october on the recommendation of StuMc and have
spent most of the winter in preparation for the spring
transformation...the car already has a Tokico suspension
setup, new rear lip spoiler, new fogs, white bumper lenses,
euro ellipsoids, and e36 M3 white repeaters...

in the next two weeks the car will see addition of
AC Schnitzer front spoiler, Zender skirts, and M3 style
KDF mirrors...engine/exhaust mods in the works include
the new e30 EAT chip, K&N cone filter, and Stromung
cat back...Brembo cross drilled rotors and front camber
    plates will also be added...

today we started mounting up the 225/45/16 Yokohamas
on 9x16 Brock B1s with polished lips...these things are
INSANE! we're going to have to roll fenders to make 'em
work, but the end result is going to be nothing short of
    AWESOME!

will post pics soon...thanks for lettin' me gloat...

    sounds nice.

    Brock B1 are sweet wheels.

Are you getting real Brembo cross drilled or just Brembo rotors that are drilled. I have the latter and they do the job but aren't treated to prevent cracking. The real ones turn a goldish color from the treatment process.

    Good luck

Hey, which tokicos do you have? The adjustable illuma series, or the tokico blues? Im really curious as to how you enjoy the ride. I need to get new shocks since my m3 boge units have served their term with lowering springs. I would really like to get bilstiens, but tokicos have a good price point.

Sounds like you have a fun project ahead of you. Deep dish is cool.. Im such a poser, Ive got close to 2 inch dish, but my wheels suck. It should look pretty nice, so lets see some pictures

i've got the ones that run about $50-60 per rotor...
they are probably drilled after casting...and they are
cadmium plated...i have a feeling that may be a marketing
            thing that doesn't mean crap...

i've been running the Tokico Blue setup for about 4 months
and it's been a great choice for a daily driver...i wanted a setup
that would enhance the look of the car without a harsh ride
and the Tokico setup is the BEST option for that from my
experience...i opted for a Sach Sporting kit for my e34, but
it is much harsher than the Tokico components...

i paid $300 plus shipping for the complete setup from shox.com,
but it has been showing up on ebay lately for around $250 or
so...you just can't beat it for the price...

hey bert, you going to have the beast at eurofest? The car looks good, I have seen it around franktown a few times.

                      skafrog...

plan is to have it complete by Eurofest Nashville
                      (www.eurofestnashville.com)...it won't be ready
for the Kars 4 Kids show this weekend...i'll probably
just take the e34 show car to that one if the weather
                      is good...

                          yeah...

it's over at the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home over
on Franklin Road...this year they have promised to "fix"
the european class...last year was a joke...i showed in
the same class as 6 other BMWs ranging from an 87 L6
                          to an 01 Dinan 330, 2 Porsche 356s, and a Pantera...

tell me how you can judge those cars against each
other? obviously, the Pantera won...it was a piece of
junk--but apparently it was "novel" enough to pull out
                          the win...

we'll see what happens this year...
