Check Panel? Give me a break! Ever since I got my M3, the check panel is nothing but an irritation. The brake warning light and the washer fluid indicators are always giving false warnings. The coolant level sensor was bad, so I bought a new one. Now, after 5 years, it's beginning to give false warnings as well. Also, I've had power window switches go bad. Heck, the passenger window motor has locked up twice. Then the driver's door lock cylinder failed, disabling the power door locks.
I LOVE my 318i....simple simple simple. Crank windows, crank sunroof, no check control, foolproof door locks, no check engine light, $17 one wire O2 sensor....I could go on for days. Besides, If I pull back on the windshield wiper switch and I hear the pump running and nothing comes out, I know I'm out of washer fluid. And with sealed beams ($7 each), you know when a headlight is out.....you can't see worth a crap.John
