    bumpers and stuff....

Ok, Im very new to BMWs and have only had my e30 for about a week.

Im loving the car so far. I do have some issues but I have been fixing them slowly. First was the windshield wipers .. thats done Next was the driver side rear window wouldnt roll down but was still clicking, so I decided to take the back interior out to get a better look at the window motor. Well if you dont know let me tell you that motor is in there like the F'in Sword in the Stone and very hard to get out. I couldn't so I hit it with a socket wrench a few times and SURPRISE BAMM it started working so thats fixed.

Now my new problem is I don't have a front mount for a license plate and since I was thinking of changing the bumpers out anyway I was wondering if some of you might know what the all plastic bumpers are called or where I might be able to get a set of front and rears?

Thanks and I appreciate the help!

They are called plastic bumpers. I thought that the 1989's had them, unless cabbys are different. Be ready to pay out for the plastic bumbers they don't come cheep. I'd suggest looking at your local pick n' pull first.

Be patient. If you post a question late at night its not very likey that you will get a reponse by the next morning. But I can understand what you are saying.. when several people view it, you would think that at least SOMEONE knows the answer. But look at it this way- Its better that you only get responses from people who can give you useful information than to get a bunch of people responding by saying, "I don't know, go ask the dealer"

Actually most auto parts stores sell a univeral license plate mounting bracket that you attach directly to the front bumper so if you mounted it where the top of the plate was flush with the top of the bumper you would be fine and it would look nice. I have also seen guys screw the tag directly into the bumper, however I am sure that over time that soft plastic will begin to lose the grip of the screws.
