You, my friend, are that guy for E21s.
I didn't imply that E21s are good. You inferrd that from my post (which is not biased) yourself.

Hey I don't know if the 320i was efi or not... I would guess that it was based on the fact that just about every BMW was efi by the early 80's... but then again what do I know...

I am pretty sure you started by posting that the m20 was not available in the e21 and that the only 2.0i motor that was available was the m10... which also was not efi (the 2.0L) in the e21, only as carbed motor...

I still think you should get your facts right and not simply try and argue for the sake of arguing

Then what does attempting to refute every negative thing he posted about them imply?

I've got a friend in SC that uses a Euro E21 as a track car. He's got a 2.8 stroker M20 in it and that car is just awesome. I always disliked the body style of the E21 and when I saw his I had no idea what it was. Looked like an E28 5er coupe. I just didnt think E21's could be so nice.

But it has rust on pretty much every body panel. Natures LTW kit.

I'm not trying to argue just for the sake of it. This is what I honestly believe.

There weren't ANY EFI E21s... EVER.

A 320i is injected... but not EFI.

            I didn't say the M20 wasn't available in the E21... I have an M20B23 in my E21.

Yes, the only 2 litre injected engine for the E21 was the M10

EDIT: When I said there weren't any EFI E21s ever I didn't include Alpinas, hartge, etc.

Wasn't implying anything. I was being honest.

              I realise E21s are shit :)

Wait, L-Jet somehow isn't electronic fuel injection? Why not?

In the Alpina road test books, some E21 models were reverted back to CIS, which is obviously older and less "EFI"-ish than L-Jet. I think some were even Kugelfischer mechanical injection, the early B7 Coupes were supposedly converted to this system as well.

I think what he's trying to say is that they did not have individual injectors.

Me? No I'm not... Injected E21s have one fuel injector per cylinder.

I was under the impression that the later E21s had L-Jetronic like the E12s... My bad. Damn southern hemisphere must make people crazy or something...

Nope. In fact.. early E30 318is were still on K-jetronic.

I have a 77 320i, and the shop I took it to says, I need a new fuel distributor, and warm up regulator the price for a distributor 1600.00, so its might be sitting for a long time.
