    windshield question

I need to put the glass back on the car after it is painted, do I need a new gaskets for the windshield front and rear, or can I use the the old ones? now for opinions. I have the chrome trim around all the windows, what do you guys think of going chrome on the sides, but using the black lockstrips for the front and rear of the car? I see a lot of the newer cars with this combo, or should I go with chrome in the front and rear?
    thanks for advice and help

If you are going to keep the chrome, a fresh set of chromies looks nice, but black works with everything. I would replace the window gaskets if you have the funds for it. Its not totally necessary if they are in alright condition, but new is always better.

I think I would take my chances with putting the old gasket back in. If it leaks you will have to buy a new one anyway.

When i replaced my windshield i left the old gasket in it. If you'll leave the chrome trim on the side a new chrome strip for the front and back windows would look nice.
