What is a good digital camera that is reasonable up to $ 250

depends on what you want.

a canon a70 or a80 is reasonable, im not sure on the price though. usually with a camera that is 250 > you won't get anything over 3mp's. if you want just a simple point and shoot, then that's your best bet.

I'm a big fan of the Canon A series as well, though I now own a Canon SD100 because it is so small and I travel a lot. It's great.

Olympus Stylus 400 4.1 megapixel and you see them as factory refurbs on Ebay buy me now for $250-290 and the come with warranty from NY camera shops. I bought one and my wife snagged it.

Need to get another now.

be careful about megapixel ratings... more is not always better

checkout dpreview.com for some really in-depth reiviews..

that said i also recommend the canon A series or Nikon Coolpix series

personally I use a canon EOS-300D (Digital Rebel) and an EOS-10D but those arent exactly cheap cameras

That was the one, It works great for me. My wife snagged it so I will be getting a 3.2 mp version for myself shortly.
