Ok.. a n00b question here- What is a "leak down" test? At first I thought it was what the doctor does to test for Gonorrhea.. (i.e. the drip) but apparently its not.

Reader's Digest version: Leak down is when they test each of the cylinders in the engine for compression by pressurizing it with compressed air. They measure how long it takes for air to leak out, giving you a more reliable compression for each cylinder as compared to a compression test.

A leakdown test measures the Percentage (%) of air that leaks out of the engine from the combustion chamber (valves, rings, headgasket, etc.)
