    Did e30's have power seats?

I found this e30 1991 325ic for sale and I think he said it had Power Seats?!?

I thought all e30 seats were manual seats?

Some did have heated seats - and maybe the seller meant that.

Loooooooong ago on the days of bmwe30.net (2000 or 2001) someone claimed to have found an e30 in a salvage yard that had power seats with controls on the center consol. Everyone told him that the controls were for heated seats. However, this poster swore that the controls moved the seat and claimed he tested it out himself.

Was he full of shit? Probably...or someone retrofitted them. I'm not aware of an e30's ever produced with power seats from the factory.

It probably wouldn't be to hard to retrofit the power sport seats from a e28 535is into an e30. The e28 power sport seats are virtually identical to a regular e30 sport seat except, of course, that all the major functions are powered and controlled from the center console.

You can probably find info on how to do the retrofit on mye28.com and then apply that info to the e30.

When I read the thread title the same bmwe30.net thread came to mind. That was a long time ago.

Anyway, power seats were not an option on e30's.

e28 sport seats are not a drop in, because theres a guy on ebay , thats always selling an adapter to fit e30 seats into e28's because these seats are very hard to find. ( only 87,88 m5's and 535is came with sport seats )

Power seats existed long before the E30.

I saw a set of power cardinal sports in a 535is today at pick n pull. Those must be some awesome seats with full power adjustability. Even the headrests are power adjustable.. how lazy can you get?

e24s had the power seats, and power headrests... another alternative i guess.
