Verizon Cell Phone (aka, lets beat a dead horse)

lookin to get a new verizon phone... they got a couple of sweet deals online right now & i've got my eye on either the LG VX4500 or the LG VX4600

i like the driver-mode of the 4500, but i do'nt know jack about the 4600... oppinions? other options? i do'nt wanna spend more than 100 bucks & both of these are under that by 20 or 30 bucks w/ rebates & whatever (w/ 2 year deal)

i know some of you guys are into this shit... any comments on those two or suggestions for other phones?

all the people i talk to on a regular basis are on Verizon, which is why i'm not planning on switching services unless someone in the Massachusetts/New England area has a better suggestion

    V60i

Love it. Battery lasts for ever. It's small.

Yeah, the batteries on the LG phones last nowhere as long as the ones on the V60. But that's all I know.

battery life isn't so important to me... i'd rather have a nice big visable screen w/ alot of organizational goodies (calendar, scheduler etc) and a speakerphone... and the vx4500 has a driver mode speaker phone which i liked cuz it means i don't need a headset. the only v60 that has a speaker phone is the v60p which is MORE than twice as much as the two LG phones i'm interested in

and as far as battery time goes... yes, the standby time is longer on the v60, but not the talk time... not by a long shot

        Talk Time
        v60s- 148 minutes
        v60p - 155 minutes
        vx4600 - 200 minutes
        vx4600 - 189 minutes

I really liked this phone when I was looking for a new one, but ended up getting a T721 (AT&T wireless). Motorola makes good phones, and they're not tacky like others can be. Simply very functional and practical. Comfortably sized. (Motorola is so much better than my old crappy Nokia) Go for the V60i !

            couple reviews

            vx4500 - http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=309
            vx4600 - http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=314

i'm not big on the v60 series... sure it's reliable etc but i like the large displays of those two LG's. and i REALLY like the driver mode on the 4500.... i think i may end up w/ that one, and for only 79.99, it's not a bad price at all

I've got a samsung phone for verizon. i think it's an a530 or something. it was smaller and ligher than the camera phones, and I don't need my cellular telephone to take pictures lol.

I got an LG VX4400 - really nice phone, I'm pretty happy with it. I finally got a leather case for it, as it started to get real beat up from it falling out of my lap when I would climb out of the car.

Works great though! No speakerphone, however...

yeah i had the 4400 for a little while too... loved it, but returned it when i found out the assfucker that sold it too me charged me 40 bucks for the "included" car charger & leather case... asshole :?

by this point, the 4400 is an old phone... the 4500 is it's replacement... basically the same phone but w/ speakerphone & upgraded software

I have had a V60i for the last 18mo and last weekend I bought a SE47 Kyocera. Its the slider phone. Pretty cool, it has a speaker phone, 64k color screen, ringtones, games, and a great battery. Lasts twice as long as my V60i did with the extended battery.

I put just over 480 hours on my V60i... I love the SE47 in comparison, way more options and an antenna that doesn't break all the time. Plus this phone gets better recieption and is clearer.

Just my 2 cents. I am on Verizon too.
