Yes, the car actually had a supercharged s14 in it, it was the kid's dad's car, he had taken it without telling him (kid was 15). The cops never actually caught him, they just ran the plates and went by the house later that day, found the car and the kid.

well, when you're a dumbass, you don't bother not going home or parking the car at the neighbor's.

On a side note: Charlie, do you recall if that was an ERT supercharger kit?
They faked the ending to make it look like he broke down, it's simple a re-used part of the video, slowed down to make it look like he was comming to a stop.
Yea, this is a really annoying repost(you didn't know)...but it just remind me of how full of shit people(not just cops) can be...
Dumb asses....

a 15 year old kid in an M3 against a whole squad of highway troopers with spike strips and all, and they still couldn't catch him! sometimes its the car, not the driver :D
A lot of police departments (especially in California) have taken criticism for chasing cars so long that bad accidents, involving innocent bystanders, occur. Many times now if a runaway car reaches a certain speed on busy highways or drives crazy enough when the cops get too close, they call off the chase. In hopes they can pick up the moron later based on just running the plates and simple detective work.
So yeah, for a good driver it should be fairly easy to outrun the cops... as long as you don't crash, obviously. Driving in a modded M3 helps a bit too I suppose ;)
maybe an S2000 would and the NSX but that's honda/acura. :P
I only wish FL wasnt a state that is so flat and straight..... driivng here makes it all about the engine you make. I doubt most cops know how to drive how they are supposed to here. first turn they get and they'd mess up.
