Don't ever drive with one in Canada, we made that mistake on a family trip and got our 8500 confiscated. And if you're a resident of Michigan of New York they fine you up the butt for knowing better too.

They're not illegal in all of Canada...but they are in Ontario.

I bought a Bel STi Driver to supplement my U.S.-visiting Valentine One. Locals can't detect the new STi (yet).

You are right. Dubs will actually cause your needle to show a slower speed than you are actually going. I had oversized tires on the back of my '82 mustang that had the 2.3 engine. I figured that the car could only top out at 60 to 65 MPH because of the engine size, however, I never understood why people could not keep up with me when they were following me on the highway. One day a friend who was following me told me that I was doing 85 the whole time. I was like "O RLY?" and my friends said, "YA RLY!" and I said, "NO WAI!"

radars are stupid. now cops have radar guns that shoot at incoming traffic. When your radar goes off its too late. The cops already clicked the trigger and recorded your speed. radars are only good for speed traps like those screen on wheels. but on highways they prob use the older ones. i cant see cops shooting 1000 times a day. screw detectors. get a scrambler.. there like 350 and they send rays to the radar that jams them and makes em read like 20 mph....50 mph... 37mph... it confuses them :P w00t
