Can anyone pull a radio code for me?

It would save me a trip to the stealership.

    Much appreciated.

here's a link to a thread on another forum:
    http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...330540&page=68

you have to post the brand name of your radio + serial and someone will reply
    with the radio code.

turn-around time is about a day or so.

Just call a dealership up. If one says they can't do it over the phone, call another one.

Tried that with my old 325 ES - they wanted to charge me $35.00 so I went there and sniveled until they gave me one so I would leave. LOL

I have tried that with dealerships all over the US and they won't give codes over the phone. Even with the VIN, pinkslip, etc ready to fax.

I went ahead and forked over the $30 but one thing I was pleased to learn was that it was only a one-time charge. I've lost the code several times since then and because they had my ticket on file, I was able to call them up and get it again any time I needed it.

That's BULL SH*t that your delaer charges you. Kelly BMW in Columbus, OH doesn't charge. Sometimes they require you to fax a copy of registration or in some cases the receipt from the junk yard I have pulled the radio out of.

Got a code from a source on another forum.

                      Will try it at lunch.

                      Thanks to all who responded.

Update: Code works, all is good. Got the radio for $20.00 and it even has the weather band.

No, from a BMW tech on roadfly.com

He emailed me the code this AM

Thanks though. That other site gave me a generic code of 11111-55555 so one or both may work for others in the future.
