    Stromung exhaust where to buy

Stromung exhaust where to buy. I have heard that this is THE BEST sounding exhaust for the E-30...i have not personaly heard this but that is what i have read on a few other boards. If anyone has any video clips of this that would be great! I have heard the B&B muffler on a video that was posted a while ago. Thanks for the help.

meh, I think a lot of people will beg to differ with you there.

    Most seem to prefer SS.

Supersprint is quieter than stock, at least in my experiences between my SS and my friend's stock 318... it has a lot to do w/the 13 year old muffler on his car, though. Anyone ever made a track pipe for a 318? Just curious to hear how easy it was to fab, I'm contemplating making one for shits and giggles.

So $35 for shipping? Mine shipped out of Anaheim all the way to Massachusetts and cost $35 for shipping. Hmmm...

I'd put Stromung in the "too loud" category. Don't get me wrong, it's sounds AWESOME. But it's just always at higher decible levels than most would prefer in a daily driver. Old people and parents with children nearby always give me dirty looks and assume I'm speeding based on the volume (not pitch) of the exhaust. 2K rpm in 3rd gear (~28mph?) in a 35mph zone gets 5x more evil eyes than a car doing 45mph with a quiet exhaust. It really is annoying. I'd expect the looks if I just drove around redlining 1st gear.
Working on getting some good quality sound clips.

*Edit - for the record, I also had custom ordered DTM style tips put on by Stromung. I haven't gotten the chance to compare volumes with another Stromung that has the nice, straight, resonating tips - but I'm guessing my tips make it louder than usual.

understeer.com has some video clips of Stromung exhausts
on both an e36 318ti and an e36 M3...i ordered one from them
almost a month ago and sent the cash--but still don't have it...
i've been told that the e30 exhaust is the only unit they build
that requires 1 3/4" tubing and that they are waiting on material
from their supplier...last i heard, the material had been received
and my unit ships this week...

i've waited a long time for this thing--it had better be worth it...

Adam on the Forum has a good deal on the stromungs, I definetly recomend it, the best sounding exhaust on an e30 I've heard.

If you choose to go with Understeer, I can vouch for them as well, the guy that runs the site lives about 5 minutes from me, stand up guy as well.

In car vid where you can hear the stromung, I'll work on getting an "Exterior" shot up eventually.

Having had a B&B, and having my friend have a Stromung, they sound very much alike IMO. To the untrained ear, you would swear they were the same exhaust. The stromung isnt quite as loud as the B&B, which may be a good thing, and the B&B is a little heavier then the Stromung, it that kind of thing concerns you.

Grant, I sent you a PM to the same effect.
