    Euro Bumpers

Ok, so i have what we in the e30 community like to call "diving boards." honestly i dont find them to be that unattractive and thought i didnt need to upgrade them to the 89-91 bumpers because i didnt think they were that much better. I didnt want any other form of bumper until i saw this car on www.e30.de.

My car is a 1985 d-schwartz eta. yes, i am a noob and i have a couple of questions.

1.) how much am i looking at (price wise)?
2.) how diffucult are they to install?
3.) how diffucult would it be to have the color repainted if necessary?

    thanks in advance...

btw, searching yeilded no results so please, don't post the emoticon.

I have no idea about the price, but i do know you have to get them somewhere over the pond, which means you will be pay a bit more for shipping. These will make your car look alot better IMO. I'll let someone else chime in and explain more *cough Ryan S. cough*

There are a couple people here on R3V that like bringing us european presents, hopefully they will respond.

Euro bumpers are awesome, why would you paint them though? They look good as is, like in those pics.

The front bumper of euro bumpers look awesome, but I still think the rear sticks out too far.

Ok, I'll chime in. I have fronts but NO rears. Why they are all rusty. I won't sell a rusty one due to all I will get is complaints.

I stated this awhile back. Maybe with my up-coming new venture I will have some.

Edit, folks I plan on sending a connex across this summer. 20 foot so there should be many many many parts for everyone.

Hell, if i had the money i'd buy the rusty ones and completly enjoy them, as long as they werent complety rusty (read- entirly brown, no chrome showing ;)). Anything short of no bumpers is better than diving boards.

I put together a pallet of parts that was shipped from the UK (should be in LA soon). But anyhow, just to validate Greg's statement. Even in Europe, the rear bumpers are really hard to come accross... well ones in good condition. Jon (the guy sending the parts from the UK) had a hard time finding two sets of bumpers and he said that nice ones are getting rare in the UK too.

If you can find someone in the US who is willing to sell, they'll be expensive. If you can find someone in europe selling them, they'll be much cheaper but shipping will make them just as spendy if not more than getting them from someone in the US.
