What could I get for my M42?

With my S50 swap finally taking place, the M42 is going. I am wondering what I could get for it...

200k on the motor, still pulls strong. Needs a new thermostat and that is it.

Same on the transmission, clutch replaced in february, maybe has 4k on the new clutch.

    What could I get guys?

    TIA

Did you ever do the profile gasket? If so, when?

The fact that the M42 survived to '07 suggests the timing profile gasket was replaced.

For the worth, I gave the supplier of my parts my engine in exchange for a better deal, so I can't really help you there.

I didnt get the car till it had 192k on it, back in october last year, now its at 197k. I only know the maintenance that I have done, and can check on other maintenance with my cousin, he sold it to me.

There are always 2002 guys who look for the M42 engine for a swap, its pretty common, check some 2002 boards, although I can't help you as to which ones.

With that many miles, it seems like a good candidate for a motor build. Check m42club.com to see if anyone is looking for a core. Probably worth $200-400

I've seen them go $400-800. I like the go cart idea better.

I sold mine for $200 with a leaky oil pan
                          (previously cracked)

It had about 180k on it, ran strong!
