Absolutely one of my favorite cars around, it's basically just a big e30. Looking at the condition that car is in, and the fairly low mileage(for being a '91) I'd guess it would probably pull in a pretty penny. Probably mid to high teens for sure. And that interior is pure money.

According to KBB (not that that means much), it's not worth even 10k.

                    http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/Pric...izConditions=0

                    eBay says something different though:

alot of german imported cars (in europe, atleast) are usually ratty (chassis damage/bad repaint/etc) so get it checked it by a shop before buying one.

It's funny you mentioned this, the passenger fender was repaired and it looks like the painted it with a paint brush.

That damn fender, you just got to see it. It looks completely ridiculous, the owner claims the previous owner fixed it himself. It most certainly looks like it. I can't stop thinking about it, boggles my mind how someone could do that to a car, let alone an M5.

But the older these cars get, the more affordable they become and more and more "average" people are buying them (when I say average, I mean kids with enough money to buy them). Cars like this should only be owned by enthusiasts, period.

At any rate, the does drive very well, doesn't pull and the motor and transmission feel powerful and positive.

Can't decide, it would only be an occasional driver, something to enjoy here and there.

My parents have an M5, 1993 US with the 3.6. It is MUCH heavier than my E30, but the S38 sounds amazing, and even though it is the US engine, it still pulls like no other ;). I say go for it, but being a '91 I'd only pay about 15k for a good example. If the previous owner painted the fender by hand, who knows what he did for valve adjustments, etc?
