Is tinting best left to the pros???

My side windows have nice tint but the back one was smashed in the past and consequently received a welfare tint job on the new glass. I need my have this taken care of because it was applied in strips and it is turning purple very fast. It looks like total crap.
I don’t really want to spend much money on tint is this something I should tackle myself? Please share your past experiences and advice.

do you want just your back window redone? If so it will be very cheap. I got my whole car done for $150 with the premium stuff that doesn't fade/bubble.

150$ thats it...hmm i think i will start calling around the locals up here.

The stuff i have was a free to me but it has a sort of purple hint to it but defintally doesnt look bad from a distance. I just swapped out all of my windows except the front windsheild.

Yes, leave tinting to the pros.....it can become a huge mess if you don't know what you're doing.

if you have the propper knowledge, just tint it yourself.

Tinting is usually much cheaper in So Cal than in the NW; it's due to the fact that there are so many competitors because everyone and their sister gets their windows tinted.

I was going to get it done at a huge discount for $150-200 IIRC. If you're going to do it, get it done soon because you have to leave your windows up for 4 days while the film adheres to the glass. But if you have a good working a/c system it won't be a prob.

I should have also mentioned, 55%, 35%, and 20% are the same price.

Problem is removal of back window is as expensive as tint. I heard Sol-Guard (sp?) is good stuff, I am slowly getting mine done 35% and it's cheap. They did the back side windows for $60 and threw in a windshield strip, and they want ~$100 to finish the car.

Don't bother Ryan, the people around here just
charge stupid prices and do a horrible job...
