Does anyone have a clutch aligning tool in NJ?

    Hey.

I'm trying to get the M50 in the car this weekend but I cant seem to get my hands on a clutch aligning tool for the M20 clutch im using. Does anyone in NJ have one I could borrow for the weekend perhaps?

    Thanks!!

Be a man already and just eyeball it .

Or be a puss and go to your neighboorhood auto parts store and buy the cheapie universal tool .
Use it over the weekend and take it back on Monday .

Are you talking about one of those plastic alignment tools? They're fucking worthless BTW. Just slowly tighten the pressure plate as you feel around the edge to make sure the clutch centered. Everytime i've used the alignment tool it's a whore getting the tranny in, aligning it by feel hasn't failed me yet.

Yah i man'ed up and just eyeballed it. The tranny went in smoothly and bolted up fine.

I'll drop it in tomorrow.. im still pissed that, since im unemployed atm, and dont feel like spending the extra cash i'm not upgrading the steering rack while the engine is out.. oh well..
