    E36 steering rack into an E30

    This may have been discussed here b4 but can idea on this. I tried to do the swap but the coupling is hitting the exhaust manifold. Mine is a right hand drive with the Euro S50 3.0. Do i need an adaptor?

      I've done this conversion and had to use stiffer engine mounts from Ireland Engineering to solve the problem.... this was using an M20 engine though!

        No, there are different RH drive headers for the steering linkage to pass thru. (nope, I'm not kidding) Where did you get the motor?

          Jon,

          The standard euro M3 headers are the same on both LHD and RHD.

          It's only the likes of Supersprint that make a LHD only header for the euro M3 engines.
