    Alternaters are at best about 60% efficient, as are electric motors. Shoving large quantities of air using electricity is just not efficient in a car.

    Well, I said motor, meaning electric. They should spray it into the electric super charger's motor and blow them selves up. ;)

      Nitrous Oxide isn't flammable. It's an oxidizer, meaning it creates (adds) oxygen. This is why with a bad setup, you will blow your engine due to a extremely lean mixture.

        if batteries didn't weight around 40-50 lbs i would do it with around 10 batteries hooked together, and steal teh alternator out of a lifted diesel truck. I mean i might even go get a turbo out of it because all you have to do is duck down and stand up straight they would never see you LMAO

          the kit comes with a 3 bateries that are what recharges for the boost. and with a new stronger alternator, it takes about 5 min to recharge for another boost. i mean i would go turbo, but i have a tendancy to just love the boost and gas it 10 miles over the speed limit. thats y i got 2 point left on my lisence. and its not like i need the boost constantly. the average time im at a stoplight with a tuner car is like once every 2 weeks.

          "A SPDT switch bypasses your alternator while the ESC 400 is running, eliminating all parasitic loss." The driver would have to flick a switch before hitting the accelerator and flick the switch again to start recharging the batteries".

            DENSITY RATIO FOR 5 PSI = 1.22, SO 250 X 1.22 = CFM @ 5 PSI = 305CFM

            305 X 6 /229 /.70= 9.5HP 9.5 X 746 /.6 = 12,000 WATTS /24V = 500 AMPS

            THE AVERAGE V8 STARTER MOTOR DRAWS 500 AMPS, SO HOW LONG CAN THE STARTER RUN FROM A BATTERY? SAME LENGTH OF TIME AS THE ESC. HOWEVER, THE ESC IS AT 24V, AND TWO BATTERIES IN SERIES HAVE THE SAME RATING AS ONE BATTERY AT TWICE THE VOLTAGE.

            THE AVERAGE BATTERY IS 30 AMP/HRS, WHICH IS 30 X 60 MIN =1800
            1800/500AMPS = 3.5 MINUTE RUNNING TIME IF THE BATTERIES KEEP COLD (BUT THEY DONT). SO USE 50% TO DETERMINE PEAK DRAW TOTAL SECONDS.
            3.5 X 50% = 1.75 MIN (105 SECONDS, OR TEN RUNS OF 10 SECONDS BETWEEN RECHARGES). AGAIN, USE A 20% RECHARGING RATE TO DETERMINE HOW LONG TO RECHARGE. ALTERNATORS MUST SUBTRACT HOW MUCH CURRENT THE CAR NEEDS TO RUN, AND WHAT IS LEFT OVER IS 'EXTRA'. A 100 'EXTRA' AMP ALTERNATOR WOULD TAKE 20% OF RUN TIME, SO EACH 10 SECOND RUN WOULD TAKE 50 SECONDS TO REPLACE THE DEPLETED CURRENT. AFTER TEN RUNS YOU WOULD NEED 10 X 50 (500 SECONDS) OR UNDER 10 MINUTES TO FULLY RECHARGE.

              Now you can have one button on the wheel for nawz, the other for boost!!!!

                uhhh, 20psi is alot for some cars, but others for example my buddys audi s4, is pushing 26psi on a daily driver. another friend of mine is pushing 30psi on his mk4 supra... :wgaf:
