    Is there a way to use my T-Mobile sim in a Cingular phone?

    Does anyone know if I can use my T-Mobile sim card in a Cingular phone?

    depending on the phone, it may likely need to be "unlocked". I know on the Treos, the GSM ones can be unlocked with a simple software flash that you can do when you hot-sync them.

      Not sure but i know you can put the sim card in a tmobile pay as you go phone.. some of the phones are way cheaper if you buy the pay as you go one.

        I'm using my T-Mobile sim in a Cingular Blackberry, but I believe mine was unlocked before I got it.

          haha. screw American's carrier-central cell phone industry. In Europe, pay as you go SIMs are standard in most stores and phones are almost always unlocked. If not, you can unlock them in some barber shops.

          unlock it, then it is good to use. my next phone is gonna be an unlocked world phone
