I love the new Mini, I've liked them since they first came out. The Cooper S is one of the ONLY fwd cars I would ever leave my E30 for.

Nice - My buddy just got one for his wife, and it's a S - I was so-so on these until I rode in it, I like it now for sure.

I'm not a yellow guy, but that's the worst thing I can say about it.

If you are going new, you might want to bring a helmet and see how you fit if you get one with the sunroof. I'm only 6'0" - but it seems like the headliner was pretty low even though the one my bud got for wifey wasn't equipped with a sunroof. I didn't drive it, so I don't know if the DS seat has a height adjust, I didn't find one on the passenger seat, but I didn't look too hard either.

Thumbs up though! I'd put this on my list of cars to get if I was short on space, like living in a major metropolitan area.

they are quick!!! VERY! as for leaving the e30, thats not the case for me. i want a nice NEW, reliable fun and sportie DD for under 25K. I thought about getting the 1er once it comes as US spec but think it will be over 30K in the 135i form.

im having a hard time deciding as to what color to get. im liking the yellow though!

I saw a brand new one in person.. Hidiously bigger and the new speedo is HUGE.. The only + is that there turbo now.. I say NAY

The interior design was the only thing I didn't like about the old ones. Looked pretty cheap and kiddy. Hopefully the new design is better.

I get to drive the new coopers every week at the dealer and they are nicer than the older ones for sure. The car does not seem to really take off till about 3.5K, but after that, hot damn. Thing pulls nice and hard. Shifted into second gear and spun the wheels nicely. Has way too much torque steer. Like almost scary amounts. I still need to drive it again, but that was my first impressions.
