    lower control arm problem

    Hi,
I just found out that the ball joint on my lower control arm on the passenger side has play in it.
It is the one that attaches to the frame, not the one that attached to the strut mount.
Is it possible to replace just the ball joint or should I just get a new control arm, if so, where should I look for a good deal?
    Thanks
    Franck

Get a new one. Yours (control arm) could be bent.

You can replace just the ball joint, but you'll need a press. It's easier to replace the whole arm since you gotta pull it off anyway, but it's obviously more expensive.

The ball joint at the subframe is rarely deffective. When it is, I suggest to change the whole control arm with Lemforder parts, and only Lemforder parts. They are original equipement manufacturers and unless you like changing those critical parts often, get OEM.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

If you're gonna go through the hassle of removing the control arm to get to the inner ball joint, just replace the whole thing.
