I guess it's unfair to say she wrecked it - she was at a stop sign and got rear ended by a hummer. it shattered the bumper and drivers side tail light - pushed in the tail panel a couple of inches on the drivers side (no 1/4 damage) and dented the trunklin pretty good. Sorry - but I'll have pics later. Does this sound like a total situation? I know if I get a quote it will be for a new bumper, new tail light, maybe a new trunklid, bodywork and paint. Isn't it something like if repairs are more than half the value of the car they total it? I'm not sure which I'd like to happen.

Sorry to hear. Who cares if it gets a salvage title since you know exactly how it got it if you can get it fixed ? Unless of course you plan on selling it ...Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

That was many years ago, so I don't know these days, but it is worth a try.

I'll probably buy it back and part it. I may try to see if i can buy it back without a salvage title and fix it - then i'd swap the 5 speed, baskets, and sport interior from my bronzit divingboard car and go..."We praise or find fault, depending on which of the two provides more opportunity for our powers of judgement to shine."
