God I hope so. At least those items have a reason to be within 10 feet of the car..

that is the stupidest thing ive ever heard.
So true that it isnt even funny.. That is retarded.

I've never been to an auction myself, so excuse me if this is a stupid question-- Are bidders really allowed to bring toolboxes and mess with the cars? Removing a valve cover and replacing it quickly enough so that nobody sees you sounds pretty tough.

its common for guys to fuck with cars like he said but the plastic fork story was over the top. like the cop who single handidly ruined his life and got him evicted, fired and thrown out of school for nothing.

The previous owner of the iX (the guy Ben bought it from) was awesome. He took the best care of it possible for someone who knows little about cars. He kept every single receipt for the entire 12 years he owned it, and after he sold it to Ben, he brought his E46 to me at the dealership for an Inspection 2. So hah!

Man, you guys are great. I didn't know that you keep track of the stories that I share on R3V. Oh, BTW, the issue with the cop was about him accusing me of selling/trafficking drugs. Not for "nothing".

Actually you can just remove the oil cap and shove it right in just like they do with the milk jug cap. Its really easy to do.

He must have gotten advice from a pipe fitter. I would use steel wool on the threads when I ran across a leaking joint installing fire sprinkler systems. On a car, no, bad idea.
