accelerator pedal? what is it?

ok guys, what is the peice on the floor of my 1984 318i, that the gas pedal attaches to called? my car had this section of the floor cut out due to rust and now there is nothing to attach the bottom of the gas pedal to. i believe i need this part and am not sure if you can find it new or if I have to hope a fellow e30 owner will sell/give you the piece i am are looking for?
