    2dr vs 4dr

    Hi,
I have been looking for an e30 for a while and I have the chance to either buy a 2 door or a 4 door. I was wondering which I should choose. If you have any experience with either let me know. I will use it as a daily, and maybe probably some auto-x. Overall I just want to know what you guys think. Thanks.

can't go wrong w/ either. I prefer the 2dr but the 4drs have their advantages.

unless you are a big boy, 250+, or 6'2", go 4 door. carry parts easier including tires to the track etc, and they seem to be a little stiffer with the added door jam

I like the look of 2drs better but the Utility of the 4 door is really nice. You can put tires easily in the back seat, throw stuff in the back or if you have more than one passenger it is easier for people to get in.

If your tall, get a 2 door.

I'd get a four door, but it would take me two cars to do it.

4 doors look the best. Go 4. Someone already mentioned it, and I'm not 100% if it's actually true, but I've heard that the 4 doors are stiffer.

Psssh, 2 doors will always be cooler I think. I had a 2 door E30, and if I get another one, it will be another 2 door. Regardless of the chassis stiffness (I do believe that the 4 door is stiffer because of the reinforced B pillar, but it may not be), if you were building a track car you have a roll bar / cage anyway, and if it's installed properly it will add a ton of stiffness on its own. According to the info I have on E30s, the 4 door is like 10lbs heavier than the 2 door, so neither car is drastically better than the other imo. It comes down to looks vs practicality.

yo buddy. 4 door e30's seem silly to me, i say 2dr. I would not turn down a perfect 4 door but if you have the choice, rock a 2 dr. PM me and tell me about these cars dude.
