I need help on buying an E30

I have been looking for an E30 on craigslist and i found a 91 318is for 2800
it has and m42 engine swap and i wanted to know how reliable are the m42 engines and how reliable would it be to buy a e30 with the engine in it already.Also would it have and problems with the computer? If you guys could help thank you very much.

M42 is the stock engine for that car. It's a tank.

Why would it have any problems with the computer ??

Great car with a great little engine .
Just gotta stay on top of things like vacuum leaks , chain tensioner and the usual maint. items , then the engine will run forever .
I recently bought one with just over 200k on it and its as strong as ever .

$2.8k is only a good price if the car is really clean and taken care of .
Otherwise its a bit on the high side .

oh okay thanks guys i didnt noe the m42 was stock engine im a noob so. yeah that was the one is there something rong with it?
