    Need help on camber adjustment

    hi,

    I just installed lowering springs on my car. I took it to the dealership to get the alignment done and they are telling me that the camber is off and can't be corrected.
    That sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me.
    Anybody has any clue why they are saying they can't correct the camber to oem specs after the car has been lowered?

    I am concerned about my tires getting screwed up in no time because of the camber being messed up.

    I have lowered my E30s before and never needed a camber kit but this sounds like they are telling me I do.

    Front or rear camber? Front can be adjusted with the right strut mounts. I do not believe the rear can be adjusted.

      how low are your lowering spring? if you just lowered it without camber plates you camber is most likely screwed... get front camber plates and rear eccentrics or live with it

        The only adjustment that is "stock" on an E30 is front toe setting. You can get fixed upper "crash mounts" that are a factory item that will take care of about -0.5 of camber.

          Alright, so it seems like it's not a big deal. My car is lowered 1.6 in the front and 1.2 in the back.
          Do a lot of you use camber plates? To be honest I have never used them on any of my cars, never really heard of a need to install that.

            What are your alginment numbers? Did they give you a print out?

              as long as the numbers are close drivers side to passenger side you are fine... drive the car for a while and see if the tires get chewed up to much for your liking before you start to consider camber plates

                they showed me the numbers but didn't give me a copy.
                The car is pulling right anyways, so I am calling them today to have them recheck.
                I knew there was a reason for me not to like dealerships. :(
