Euro bumper install questions

What do I need to install euro bumpers? I bought a set but with no brackets/valences. I know where to get the valences but don't klnow if they are needed.

Don't need the valance amd you just need the proper rear drains and rear brackets plus the two front brackets

Here is some links for the part numbers for the brackets that you need. Just call whoever you like to get your parts off of and order some or you can make your own.

No cutting needed. According to RealOEM BMW sells front and rear sets of mounting components needed. Off the top of my head I remember the RealOEM price for front mounting hardware is $45 and some change, so the actual price now should be about that.

You'll have to drill 4 new holes for the back bumper. And for the front you'll have to modify the wire connector for the turn signal cause euro bumpers don't have parking lights only turnsignals. I cut the end part off of mine that had the parking light wire in it, then i shaped it to fit into the turn signal connector in the light on the bumper.

You'll love the euro's. They clean the car up really nice. Are you going to use a US or euro valance?

Well, I guess what I have on my car now. I have the IS airdam - will that still work?

There was a guy over on e30 tech that wanted to run the early is air dam with euro bumpers, but i don't know if he got it to work? Propobly have to use the metal valance with the 86-87 lip.

hm. Really dont want to run a stock lip unless it's the late IS lip.

This is the one you'll need, cause of your oil cooler. Or don't you have an oil cooler?

The drains/vents under the rear bumper are differant part numbers and support the bumper to a slight degree.

They already said it's not easy but someone is trying it. I like to take the easy way out. If i cant get it on easily ill buy something else.
