Anyone ever install a starter?

not hard, it helps to have two people one under the car with a ratchet to thread the bolt threw the one person up top to hold the nut while the person underneath tightens th ebolt. It can be by one person but requires small hands sometimes.

Gotcha. The Bentley makes it seem overly complicated (draining coolant and possibly taking off the intake manifold!)

oh they saw that becuase there are a couple coolant hoses coming off the back of the head and the block that are somewhat in the way, which is why you need skiny hands for very agile fingers.

If stolen Eric then just ask the guy you got it from to help you put it on. Just go back with some tamper proof hardware after he laves.
