OK, so here is the deal.
I have 2 needs for electronics help. First off is I want to charge my DeWalt batteries from the car. I know I could buy an inverter, but I already have a broken home charger I could use as a base...so would you design a circuit for me? (yes I know they already make one, unless you are going to buy it for me, fuck off)
Second, I want to make USB housings for automotive use. I have found a 12VDC USB housing...but I want to make it battery powered from a small gel cell. This would entail charging while driving, but powered up 24/7.
I do not know how unhappy that housing would be if it were to get the unstable voltage that automotive charging systems have...
Pioneer makes a USB adapter that runs on their "PBus" CD changer input on most every deck they have made in the last 10 years, so I should be able to make a USB housing for a 40GB HDD.
If you need to get paid for your work, that is fine with me. PM me a bid, or just do it out of the kindness of your heart for the 15 units a year I will sell.
Luke
