    Hypothetical Question

Lets say I found exactly the car I want, low miles, very nice, and a very good price....but its an auto. Would you buy? I think that buying the car and all of the swap items I'd still be under my budget. The car is an 88 325ic. Would you let the trans. sway you or just keep waiting? Thanks!

I f you like the car, get it, buying an E30 is a non profit thing anyway, you are going to end up pumping major cash in it anyway, so....

It all depends if you want to do the work to it. Like my Corvair, it's an auto and i wanted a 4spd. But i got a 4spd with it and it will be changed when the car show's are over and snow is on the ground.

I've been reading about doing manual swaps all day, doesn't seem to difficult. Anyone wanna disagree or give some insight? Thanks

It's not that hard of a swap at all. Can be done in a weekend.

If anything auto car might be in better condition than a 5spd anyway...

Sounds like the Cabby I bought last year: 88 325ic, 110K, Lachsliber w/Blue interior, since swapped to Black. 5 spd and a ton of records for $2800.00

I would be more patient and find the right car.
